Commission Makes Decision on Training

A lot of rumors have swirled since our last post. The facts are:

• The commission has acted on grandfather applications from 2002. Some licenses have been issued.


• The commission met again on April 10 and approved curricula outlines for prelicensing training. The outlines are being sent to the training providers.


• No classes have yet been approved.


• License Application forms are not yet available.

It remains likely that training courses will be approved in the late spring/early summer months and that license applications will be made available soon thereafter.

It is also likely, although not yet official, that home inspector licenses will be required after the first of January, 2008.
